Free Jazz Night Featuring ROWVA High School

The Knox Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Justin Haynes and the ROWVA High School Jazz Band, directed by Wes Anderson, present a concert as part of the weekly Jazz Night at the Galesburg Community Arts Center beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6. This free event is open to all ages. Patrons are encouraged to bring local carryout to enjoy while being entertained, though there is a cash bar, so no outside drinks are permitted. United Against Hate Rainbow Skate

PFLAG of Galesburg and NAACP Branch 3016 are United Against Hate and welcome all ages to “Lead with Love” at the Rainbow Skate event from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at All Stars Sports Academy at Skate Palace, 1855 E. Knox St. in Galesburg. Entry is $10 per person, which includes skates, but financial assistance is available, just contact PFLAG through Facebook: www.Facebook.com/groups/gpflag

Women Takeover at Reserve Artisan Ales 

What, Like It’s Hard? is the new Cherry Limeade Smoothie Sour IPA, brewed by the women of Reserve Artisan Ales on International Women’s Day, using hops from the Pink Boots Society, helping pay for women to pursue careers in the craft beer industry. Its release is from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 7, with a portion of each beer sold benefitting Loving Bottom’s Diaper Bank. Additionally, The Tacos & Thai Truck, owned and operated by two women, as well as Sullivan’s Daughter, headlined by Erin Glasnovich, will be serving up food and entertaining the crowd in a complete woman takeover of the tap room. Wine Down at Innkeeper’s

Known for their fresh roasted coffee, Innkeeper’s now serves wine! Wind down the week with a wine tasting, from 5 to 7 p.m. each Friday.
