Galesburg Police have arrested a Knox County correctional officer after investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred off-duty.
Few details have been released by authorities about the alleged assault that Matthew Ferry is charged with.
An arrest warrant was issued by Knox County State’s Attorney on Tuesday after an investigation by Galesburg Police.
A release from the Sheriff’s Department says that Ferry was arrested and posted bond, and has been placed on administrative leave.
