A shots fired call in Galesburg is currently under investigation.
Just before 4:00 Wednesday morning, Galesburg Police officers responded to the area of East Knox and Day Streets for reports of gunfire.
Several spent shell casings spread throughout the 1000 block of East Knox Street were found. Three 9mm casings were found in front of one home, and two more were found near another home.
Police spoke with numerous residents in the area. Several people heard the gunshots, but no one witnessed it.
Officers did not observe any property damage or reports of injured parties. Police are in the process of collecting area security footage.
