Monday & Wednesday: New Galesburg Public Library building tours

Curious about what’s going on at the new library construction site? Join us for a tour of the building for a peek at what is happening from noon to 1 p.m.! We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our brand new library building, which is currently under construction! This is a unique opportunity to get a firsthand look at the progress we’ve made over the past 18 months and witness the transformation that’s taking place. During the tour, you’ll have the chance to explore different areas of the library, hear about new offerings in the library, and participate in a Q&A session. Tours are by appointment only.

Please note that safety is our top priority. All attendees will be provided with hard hats, before entering the construction site and a Visitor’s Assumption of Risk is required for all guests. Please wear appropriate, closed-toed shoes to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. We look forward to sharing this exciting milestone with you and can’t wait to see you there!

Wednesday: Free Yoga for Teens and Adults

Certified yoga instructor Michelle Johnson of Lavender Lotus Yoga Studio will teach a free yoga class for teens and adults at the library! Classes take place every fourth Wednesday from April 12 through September 27. Registration is requested at the Reference Desk, and a waiver form will need to be signed by the participant or a parent or guardian before the session. You do not need to attend every session, mats are encouraged but not required, and these classes are funded by the American Heart Association! Join us this Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. to find your zen!
