Wednesday – Wheel Throwing Wednesdays

Art Defined presents: Wheel Throwing Wednesdays! Join us from 6 to 8 p.m. at Art Defined to make a bowl! Each Wednesday, Carly will take you step by step in making your very own bowl. Paint your bowl after its been fired. Buy tickets here!

Thursday – Joel Shoemaker Book Signing

Join us as Joel Shoemaker signs copies of his book ‘Bacon Grief’ and ‘Teeth & Crumpets’! from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 at Wordsmith Bookshoppe! “‘Bacon Grief’ is a Christian romantic comedy novella that centers around two high school students, Tim and Charlie, as they navigate their relationship and life withing the church.” “There are twenty-eight teeth in the adult human mouth, absent wisdom teeth. ‘Teeth & Crumpets’ is a collection of twenty-eight stories. Similarly, absent any wisdom. All, at least vaguely, toothy.”

Friday – Flight Through Cinema: Only Angels Have Wings (1939)

The Flight Through Cinema movie series provides a FREE flight movie every Friday in September at 7 p.m.! Join us for Only Angels Have Wings at The Orpheum Theatre and enjoy this amazing story. At a remote South American trading port, the manager of an air-freight company is forced to risk his pilots’ lives in order to win an important contract as a traveling American showgirl stops in town. Saturday – 52nd Annual Gazebo Art Festival at the Art, Wind, & Fire Fire Fest Weekend

As part of Macomb’s Art, Wind & Fire Festival which also features a Disc Golf Tournament & annual Hot Air Balloon Rally the annual The Gazebo Art Festival takes place as it traditionally has for an amazing 52 years in Chandler Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Featuring a juried art sale showcasing dozens of incredible regional artists exhibiting exceptional original works of art in all mediums including, paint, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, fiber and many more. Saturday and Sunday – Fall Festival Opening Weekend

Sept. 9 & 10 will be the opening weekend of Prairie Moon Farm’s pumpkin patch! We’ll be open 9am-5pm both days, with vendors, food, kids activities, farm animals, and of course, tons of pumpkins!
