A trailer home received heavy smoke and fire damage but no injuries were report from a fire Wednesday night at Century Estates.
According to a news release, the Galesburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 729 Century Estates at 9:22 p.m. Wednesday. The response included all three stations and the 11 personnel on duty.
Upon arrival, heavy smoke was showing from the exterior of the trailer home. Firefighters forced entry into the structure, located, and quickly extinguished the fire with an attack line.
The interior of the trailer home received smoke and fire damage. No injuries were reported. Damage estimates to the home are $3,000.
The fire was determined to be accidental and caused by Lithium Ion battery failure.
