On Sunday, just before 9:00 in the morning, Galesburg Police were dispatched to the Circle K station on East Main Street for a report of a person passed out in their vehicle at the pump. Police were able to wake the 36-year-old Galesburg woman. The woman told police she was on her way home from work. She was emitting an alcoholic odor and police observed numerous empty 99-proof vodka bottles in the woman’s vehicle. A field sobriety test indicated numerous signs of impairment. The woman also provided a breath sample which read her BAC as .122. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Public Safety Building. She was eventually transported to the Knox County Jail. The woman was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC over .08 and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
