The schedule for the 2023 Illinois High School Association football playoffs have been updated with times for first-round games, and a pair of Galesburg-area teams will hit the road for games Saturday.
In Class 1A, No. 10 seed ROWVA/Williamsfield (7-2) will open at No. 7 seed Sterling Newman. Kickoff is 1 p.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast locally on FM-95 and live-streamed on fm95online.com.
And in Class 2A, No. 10 seed Knoxville (7-2) plays at No. 7 seed Momence (8-1). Kickoff is noon Saturday. The game will be broadcast locally on 93.7 FM, 1400 AM WGIL and live-streamed on wgil.com.
In other matchups involving other area teams:
- No. 4 seed Kewanee Wethersfield (8-1) will host No. 13 see Deer Creek (5-4) in Class 1A at 1 p.m. Saturday;
- No. 2 seed Stark County (9-0) will host No. 15 seed Princeville (5-4) in Class 1A at 7 p.m. Friday;
- No. 9 seed Rockridge (8-1) plays at No. 8 seed Westville (8-1) in Class 2A at 2 p.m. Saturday;
