Knox County agronomist awarded for by Illinois Farm Bureau

A Knox County man was recently awarded for exemplary service and knowledge in nutrient management and crop production.

Brandon Hall is an operations manager and certified crop adviser at West Central FS.

Hall won the Illinois Farm Bureau’s and Illinois Certified Crop Adviser’s 2023 Illinois CCA Award.

The award recognizes an individual who is highly innovative and performs superior service for their farmer customers in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, and crop production.

Hall says this award is testimony to first, the team he works with, but also the customer base he has in Wataga, saying that they’re very progressive.

 Hall is known to his employees as the “soil nerd” due to his vast knowledge of soil compositions in the Knox County area.
