GHS Theater staging The Play That Goes Wrong for fall production

Galesburg High School Theater will stage its fall play later this month.

The Play That Goes Wrong High School Edition is a play in a play that’s been performed and celebrated for over a decade.

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer & Henry Shields, it won a Laurence Olivier award in 2015.

The show follows the opening night of the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production where things quickly go from bad to utterly disastrous.

The 1920s whodunit has everything from an unconscious leading lady, to a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines).

This comedy is called part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes.

Shows are November 17th & 18th at 7:30pm and November 19th at 2:00pm at Galesburg Jr Sr High School in the newly remodeled Hegg Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free to all CUSD #205 students and staff.
