No one was injured in a house fire on Williams Street on Tuesday afternoon.
The Galesburg Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1517 Williams St. at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, personnel encountered heavy flames engulfing the front of the residence. All occupants were able to safely exit the residence.
The fire caused damage through the front portion of the home and fire damage near the area of origin. There were no injuries reported. Preliminary damage estimates are at $18,000.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation by Galesburg Fire investigators.
