Sandra Kay Hanley, 70, of Galesburg, died at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born February 2, 1953, in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of James F. and Josephine A. (Shawgo) Hanley. Sandy worked at Casey’s in Galesburg for 13 years. She was an avid reader and quite the lover of books, especially romance novels. Sandy enjoyed playing scratch off lottery tickets.
Sandy is survived by dear friend, Susan (Ricky) Wilder; two brothers: Don (Rose) Hanley and John Hanley; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Hanley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Richard, James, Eugene, and Victor Hanley; and one sister, Josephine Gash.
