Pamela J. Cauchon, 73, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Rio Presbyterian Church, Rio, Illinois. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at church. Entombment will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the Norfolk Bee Keepers Association. Pamela was born on September 5, 1950, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Gale and Lorraine (Sloan) Harriman. Pamela was a master seamstress, ceramicist, and incredible artist. Her depth of understanding and wisdom around horticulture and botany complimented her deep desire to see others thrive. She was known by those closest to her to have an immense level of generosity and her passing takes with her the thankless acts of service she bestowed on as many as she could. Prior to her passing she stated to her daughter that her favorite thing to do was to gift laughter. In honor of Pam, please plant a plant and tell a joke, and make the world a more beautiful place.
Pamela is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle Cauchon, Englewood, Colorado; son, Paul (Emily Crane), Pittsburgh; father, Gale Harriman, Rio; siblings, Linda (Jon) Durant, Skandinavia, Wisconsin, William Harriman, Waupaca, Wisconsin, and Beth (Paul) Saline, Rio; and her spiritual children, Eddie and Laura Cutrera and their family. Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Harriman, and brother, Jamie Harriman.
