
The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys swim team won all 12 events to claim its second straight Western Big 6 Conference championship Saturday at Mustain Pool.
Galesburg won the championship with 349 points to easily outdistance runner-up Sterling by 124 points. Moline finished third with 209 points.
Individual record setters and winners for the Streaks were Riley Stevenson with a meet and pool record in the 100 backstroke and Carson Olson with a team record in the 500 free.
Andrew Peterson won diving with a pool record score of 451.60 for the Streaks.
Galesburg’s Ryan Tapper, Luke Thomas, Olson and Stevenson combined to set meet and pool records with a first-place finish in the 400 free relay.
Stevenson was named the 2023-2024 WB6 Swimmer of the Year.
