Michael Anthony Pacheco, 67, of Altona, Illinois, died peacefully at home, Monday, February 5, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He was born August 26, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Delphino and Wilma (Wenzel) Pacheco. Mike was reared and educated in Galesburg, graduating from high school in 1975. He then enlisted into the United States Marine Corp in 1976. Mike married Marie G. Pugh in 2004.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marie Pacheco of Altona; his mother, Wilma Pacheco of Galesburg; one stepdaughter, Carmen James of Peoria, Illinois; three grandchildren: Kylie Alvarado, Khloe and Cooper James; two brothers: Dell (Tracy) Pacheco and John Pacheco, both of Galesburg; and one sister, Vicky (Richard) Martinez of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mike was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed tending to his yard and working out. Mike was of the catholic faith.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, 1849 N.
