Monday: Knox String Ensemble Winter Concert
Join the Knox String ensemble, under the direction of Dominique Archambeau, for their Winter concert featuring music from the Studio Ghibli and guest soloist LaBarrin Wallace. March 4 at 7 p.m. in Kresge Recital Hall at the Center for the Fine Arts on the Knox College Campus.
This performance is free and open to the public!
Wednesday: Skerryvore Whisky Tasting & Concert
Join us in The Orpheum lobby for an exclusive whisky tasting event! On Wednesday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m., sip and sample, as the guys from Skerryvore take you on a journey through the world of Scotch whisky, accompanied by stories and song. A ticket includes 4-5 tastings plus light snacks, you must be 21 years of age to purchase ticket. Tickets can be purchased here for $25 a person!
What are Skerryvore? They’re like no one else. Epic of melody, intimate of feeling and plugged into the roots of Scotland but blasting out to the world. With a mix of bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles, alongside guitar and vocals, underpinned by driving bass, drums and keys, Skerryvore represent the best in contemporary Scottish traditional music. At 7 p.m., Skerryvore will perform at The Orpheum with their special guests BLACK HAWK PIPER & DRUM BAND, and CASSIE & MAGGIE! Thursday: 10 year Anniversary Trivia – Double the Payouts

Saturday: Second Saturday: Maple Syrup Adventure
Follow the Maple Sugaring Stations as our Naturalist walks you through the sap-to-syrup process, and taste-test the results! On Saturday, March 9, from 9:30-11 a.m. join us at Lakeside Nature Center for a Maple Syrup Adventure! Program will be held outside, weather permitting, so dress for outside adventures! Sunday: Compassion on Tap
LSSI’s Associate Board invites you to a happy-hour fundraiser! Join us for Compassion on Tap at Reserve Artisan Ales in Galesburg on Sunday, March 10 from 2-5 p.m., to enjoy food, drinks, and fun and connect with friends in support of LSSI’s ministry. Tickets are $25 per person and include appetizers and drinks from the Reserve Artisan Ale taproom, which features 30 pour-your-own beverages ranging from beers to wine and nonalcoholic options of old-fashioned sodas. Funds raised will benefit LSSI’s programs serving children, youth, and families.
