Jail records and authorities near Gainesville, Florida say Andre Odom, 22, was arrested Wednesday in Peoria for Making a Terrorist Threat, a Class X felony, and on a Knox County Warrant for a probation violation.

It’s believed to be the same Andre Odom who was released last week with a notice to appear in court after allegedly getting into Galesburg High School unauthorized during school hours.

Odom allegedly used social media to threaten to shoot up a courthouse or commit a sexual assault, then allegedly said “I’m not scared to do a mass shooting….” That’s according to the Cross City, Florida Police Department.  Peoria Police, who made the arrest, have not released their own details.

The investigation started in Florida after law enforcement there were contacted, later being handed over to Peoria Police, after an internet provider address tracked back to Peoria.  Odom is believed to have had several addresses in Florida, and jail records list him as being a Peoria resident.

Odom is being held in the Peoria County Jail pending future court dates. It’s not clear if he will be brought back to Knox County, where he’s scheduled to be in court later this month.

WGIL News has reached out to Galesburg Police for further comment.
