Arrest warrant issued, victim identified, in fatal Galesburg shooting

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Galesburg resident accused of shooting and killing a teenager late Friday morning on the city’s south side.

Galesburg Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for Chase Houlden, Jr., 19, for Murder.  He was injured in the shooting and remains in a Peoria hospital in stable condition.

Houlden allegedly shot and killed Cam’ron Glass, 18, who was found inside an East South Street home around 11:15 Friday morning, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not said publicly what caused the shooting, but do say the investigation continues, and more arrests are anticipated.
