Galesburg Police on Wednesday asked for the public’s help in finding a Galesburg man wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Later Wednesday Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate 20-year-old Devonte M. Morrison.
Sheriff’s Deputies made contact at a residence where they located Morrison’s car and were allowed to enter the home.
Morrison attempted to flee out the back of the residence but then turned and went back inside at which time he was taken into custody.
Morrison previously pleaded guilty in 2023 to a Class 3 felony of theft.
Galesburg Police are continuing to ask for the public’s help in locating 29-year-old Cody A Adkisson on a violation of pre-trial conditions and Greg Sutton Jr. on possession of a weapon by a felon.
