Silver Streaks Football “Friday Night Lights” youth football camps run today (Tuesday) through Friday at Galesburg High School. The camps are open to athletes entering first through sixth grades.
The camp for 1st through 3rd grades runs from 5:30-6:45 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday at F&M Bank Stadium Van Dyke Field. The camp for 4th through 6th grades runs from 7-8:30 p.m.
A 7-on-7 tournament for all grades 1-6 will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Van Dyke Field.
Camps are directed by the Galesburg High School football coaching staff, along with past and current Silver Streaks. Instruction will focus on individual skills for offense and defense.
Each camper should wear shorts, t-shirt, football cleats or gym shoes.
Cost is $40, and $25 for additional siblings. Walk-ups are accepted.
A camp for 7th and 8th graders runs this week and July 29-Aug. 2. It takes place from 5-6:30 p.m. at the football practice field.
