Judith Ann McGaan, 85, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at home, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 8:14 a.m.
Judy was born September 13, 1939, in Galesburg, the daughter of Russell LeRoy and Adah Isabel (Simpson) Selman. Judy worked as a bookkeeper at Gateway Co-Op Galva for 31 years, retiring in 2003.
Judy is survived by three daughters, Christina “Tina” Reed of Galesburg, Kim Stewart of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Trudy (Bill) Lockery of Galesburg; one brother, Harold (Janet) Selman of Knoxville, Illinois; one sister, Susan (Marvin) Klusman of Galesburg; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy Naslund and Jamie Larkins; one brother, John Selman; and one sister, Helen Morgan.
She attended Faith United Methodist Church in Galesburg, was a former member of the Red Hat Society, and had served as the treasurer for the Village of Altona. In her free time, Judy enjoyed reading a good book.
Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
