Juniors Lily Furrow and Hayden Johnson will represent Galesburg and Monmouth-Roseville, respectively, at the IHSA girls state swim meet this weekend after winning individual events at the Peoria Notre Dame Sectional on Saturday.
Furrow won the 100 fly with a time of 59.07. Johnson won the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.43.
Also from the area, sophomore Rebecca Hinshaw of West Central won the 50 free in 1:24.28 to advance to state.
The IHSA Girls State Swimming & Diving Championships are Friday and Saturday at FMC Natatorium in Westmont.
Metamora won the sectional team championship with 256 points, ahead of Moline with 228 and Galesburg in third with 177.
