Carl Rick Herrmann, 78, of Galesburg, died at 2:37 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024.
Carl was born January 17, 1946, in Peoria, Illinois the son of Carl C. and Ireene (Trizler) Herrmann. He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar for many years.
Carl is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Robert) Elliott of Crossville, Tennessee; one son, Chris Herrmann of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two stepsons, Bart Welty and Mark Welty. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Galesburg Rescue Mission, 547 N. Farnham St., Galesburg, Illinois. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
