Christina Louise Hendricks, 54, of Galesburg, died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
She was born November 10, 1970, in Galesburg the daughter of Robert John and Deborah Louise (Sottos) Hendricks. Chris graduated from Galesburg High School in 1989. She worked at Maytag for over 20 years until their closure and later worked at Midwest Plastics for many years until their closure as well.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, John Hendricks of Galesburg; her mother Debbie Golliher of Galesburg; one sister, Tammy (Darin) Johnson of Galesburg; two nieces: Brianna (Andrew) Martin of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Brittany German (Kadin Spencer) of Galesburg; her beloved 5 dogs: Gordan, Charlie Brown, Tinley, Gillian, and Taytum; her beloved 4 cats: Callie, Kylie, Wrigley, and Raven; and her best friend, Rita Hier of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; one aunt, Becky Sottos; and one cousin, Sam Sottos.
Chris enjoyed antiquing, working on home projects, and watching sports. She was an avid Cowboys and Cubs fan; those close to her knew better than to interrupt her while she was watching ‘her boys’. Most of all, Chris loved her fur babies. She was an extreme dog and cat lover. Chris was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, fur momma, and friend and will be deeply missed.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg.
