Charles Richard Williams Jr.,70, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria surrounded by his family.
Charles (Chuckie) R. Williams Jr. was born on December 20, 1954, in Galesburg to Charles and Antoinette (Hollowell) Williams. He was a graduate of Galesburg High School. He worked with Gunther Construction, Maytag, Gales Products Co, Caterpillar, and traveled all over the country as a merchandiser for MMI.
Chuckie Williams married Melissa (Mitzi) Thompson Enloe and together they had four children. He was preceded in death by three sons, Charles R. (Tooter) Williams Thompson, Todd Thompson and Heath Williams.
Chuckie leaves to celebrate his life, his parents, his life partner/best friend and soulmate of 30 years, Sandra (Sandy) Townsend, and his one and only baby girl, Tia (Weezy) Williams; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; along with two stepchildren, Micky and Jessica.
Charles was the first born of 10 siblings. Surviving siblings include, Tyrone (Bonnie) Williams, Sheila (Reggie) Edwards of Iowa, Cary D. Williams of Florida, Chuck (Kim) Adams of Aurora, IL, Lisa Williams of Galesburg, Chaz (Elizabeth) Williams of Galesburg, and Sydney Williams of Chicago; along with several nieces and nephews. Two siblings preceded him in death, Michelle (Shelly) Williams and Scott Hollowell.
Charles loved spending time with his family, especially at family gatherings. He enjoyed working in the yard, watching old western movies, going to the car wash, and riding around the neighborhood listening to music and saying hello to friends.
