Courtney Rodriguez will continue as president of the District 205 Board of Education for another two years, unanimously re-elected during a special meeting Tuesday night.
First elected to the board in 2019, Rodriguez won a second term in 2023 and has served as president since then. She was the only nominee for president, with no limit on consecutive terms for District 205 board members.
Rodney Phelps was elected vice president, and Maury Lyon will serve another term as secretary.
Outgoing board members Pamella Bess-Tabb and Tera Boettcher were honored for their service before new board members took their oaths Tuesday. Incumbents Lyon and Rod Scherpe, along with newcomers Luan Statham and Jamie Harter, won seats in the April 1 election.
