No injuries were reported from a structure fire that caused fire and smoke damage to a shed behind Munson’s Pools & Spas on East Main Street late Wednesday morning.
The Galesburg Fire Department responded to the fire at 844 & 846 E. Main St. at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. Fire crews arrived to find smoke coming from a large shed at the rear of the property.
Crews entered with an attack hose line and extinguished the fire in the shed’s attic space. No occupants or pets were found inside, and no injuries occurred.
Galesburg Fire Chief Randy Hovind said the attic sustained fire and smoke damage. The fire was ruled accidental.
