Knox County Treasurer Robin E. Davis announced Friday that 2024 real estate tax bills, payable in 2025, have not yet been mailed due to ongoing processing by the Knox County Clerk’s office.

The Treasurer’s office expects to mail bills within three weeks of receiving the Clerk’s data, following the completion of the tax cycle’s final step.

The real estate tax process begins with the Knox County Supervisor of Assessments, moves to the Clerk’s office, and concludes with the Treasurer’s office.

Knox County Clerk Scott Erickson said his office is wrapping up its portion of the cycle, which he expects to be completed within a week.

Davis, who noted an influx of taxpayer inquiries, said her office will provide mailing dates, due dates, and key details when they become available.
