
A Galesburg banking veteran celebrated 50 years with F&M Bank on Monday. Jeff Johnson, who began as a teller in 1975, now serves as assistant vice president and support specialist at the bank’s 21 E. Main St. office.
Over his five-decade career, Johnson has held roles such as personal banker, cashier, operations supervisor, and compliance officer, adapting to significant changes in the banking industry. Beyond the bank, Johnson has been a community leader, contributing to Choral Dynamics, Knoxville School Board, Galesburg Kiwanis Club, Optimist Club, AMBUCS, Leadership Greater Galesburg, Grace Lutheran Church Council, United Way of Knox County (receiving the Vibrant Volunteer of the Year award in 2013) and Habitat for Humanity of Knox County.
“Jeff has been an invaluable employee throughout his career, and we thank him for his unwavering dedication to our clients, our community, and our bank,” said Mike Holloway, F&M Bank Knox/Warren County president.
In a news release, the bank said, “Congratulations and happy anniversary to Jeff from his entire F&M Bank family! Thank you for 50 years of service!”
Johnson lives in Knoxville with his wife, Laurie, and has two daughters, Kelsey and Amber, and a granddaughter, Skylar.
