A garage was declared a total loss after a structure fire on Edwards Avenue on Monday night.
The Galesburg Fire Department responded to the fire at 133 Edwards Ave. at 10:42 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a unattached single-car garage fully engulfed in flames. The Fremont Street crew extinguished the fire using an attack hose line. The nearby home sustained exterior damage.
No injuries were reported among fire personnel or occupants.
The fire’s cause was determined to be unintentional.
