Knox County real estate bills have been mailed. Here is when they are due and how to pay

Knox County 2024 real estate tax bills were mailed Friday, June 13, according to Treasurer Robin E. Davis.

The bills, sent within three weeks of receiving the tax roll from the county clerk, have installment due dates of July 21, 2025, and September 3, 2025. Residents who don’t receive their bill by June 25 should contact the Treasurer’s Office at (309) 345-3811.

Property owners can pay in person at the Knox County Courthouse, 200 S. Cherry St., Galesburg, using the Treasurer’s Office or drop boxes at the parking lot exit and north side, with payments collected at 8:30 a.m. posted as the prior business day.

Mailed payments can be sent to the County Collector at the same address. Electronic options include eCheck, credit, or debit card payments with a cardholder fee, available in the Treasurer’s Office, online at www.payknoxcoil.us, or by phone at (309) 315-4760. Most Knox County banks, except Wells Fargo, also accept payments.
