Daytime lane closures on U.S. 67 and U.S. 136 in downtown Macomb began Wednesday to allow the Illinois Department of Transportation to replace overhead signs.
Work will start at 8 a.m. each day, and motorists should expect delays in the area. Work will continue through Friday.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time, consider alternate routes, and stay alert for workers, equipment, and changed conditions while obeying posted speed limits and avoiding mobile device use.
