The 39th annual Taste of Galesburg, featuring 14 restaurants and vendors offering everything from Mahi Mahi tacos to bacon peanut butter burger sliders, is set for Thursday in downtown Galesburg.
Held on Simmons Street between Kellogg and Seminary, this year’s event adapts to ongoing construction with new entrances at Seminary/Simmons and Main Street through the parking lot east of Old National Bank. Admission is $5, with children 12 and under free. The cash-only event uses $1 tokens for food and drinks, with a buy-back option for unused tokens by 10 p.m.
Highlights include live music from Pippi & Daniel (4–6:30 p.m.) and 28 Days (6:30 p.m. in the beer garden, 21-and-over), free kids’ activities like face painting by Galesburg Community Arts Center, and Discovery Depot games.
