Mrs. Debra J. Wiles, 67, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 4:08 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Bromenn Medical Center, Normal, Illinois.
She was born January 3, 1958, in Black Earth, Wisconsin, the daughter of William Henry and Lucille Isabelle (Edgington) Swearingen. She married Wendell R. Wiles on July 18, 1986, in Henry County, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband of 39 years, Wendell R. Wiles of Galesburg, a stepdaughter, Bonnie (and Chris) Pyle of Kewanee, Illinois, two brothers, Thomas (and Brenda) Swearingen of Kewanee and Joseph Gasser of Maryland, and two grandsons, Petty Officer First Class Damon Pyle and Brendan Pyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn infant daughter, Rebeca, and two brothers, Harold and Bob.
Deborah worked at Pines Trailers in Kewanee for approximately 10 years. She then was a grill cook for Cracker Barrel in Cartersville, Georgia and later the 19th Hole in Baker Park, Kewanee for several years. She retired in 2015. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. Debra loved cruising with her husband on their motorcycle to wherever the headlights lead them. She loved to travel all over from Georgia to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed tubing on the Rock River.
