
The Galesburg Area CrimeStoppers has named Galesburg Police Officer Noah Harlan the 2024 Officer of the Year, recognizing his efforts in enhancing community safety. The award, presented annually since 2012, celebrates outstanding contributions by local law enforcement.
Harlan, a patrol officer with the Galesburg Police Department for over two and a half years, was honored for his proactive work in seizing guns and drugs, leading to multiple felony arrests in 2024. His dedication to DUI enforcement further distinguished his service.
“Officer Noah Harlan continues to go above and beyond in keeping the citizens and this community safe from violent offenders,” said Galesburg Police Chief Kevin Legate. “His dedication to proactive policing, support for his fellow officers, and unwavering commitment to public safety make him a true asset to our department and the community we serve.”
