Minor injuries were reported when a truck struck a train Monday near Knoxville.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 4:41 p.m. to the collision at 825E / Mine Road. A preliminary investigation found the truck had mechanical issues, causing the crash. The driver was uninjured, but a minor passenger sustained minor injuries and was evaluated on-site. No other injuries occurred.
Emergency units assisted, and the incident remains under investigation.
