Robbins, Mary M.

Mary M. Robbins, 94, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Alpha, Illinois, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Woodhull, Illinois. The Mass of Christian Burial will directly follow at 11 a.m. Burial is in Saint John’s Cemetery in Woodhull. Memorials may be left to Tri-County Ambulance. Mary was born July 26, 1931, in Sterling, Illinois, to Roland R. Mulford and Margaret R. Garland Mulford. She graduated from Community High School, now known as Newman High School in Sterling, Illinois. Mary married Dale O. Robbins on October 28, 1950 in Sterling. They were married for 67 years before his passing on March 1, 2018.

Mary was employed as a floral designer and later owned and operated the Robbins Florist in Alpha. She was a devoted member of Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church as well as a member of the St. John’s Altar and Rosary Society and Red Hat Society.

Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her children: Kathleen (Gary) Brown of Galesburg, Cheryl (Robert) Yarde of Alexis, Illinois, Keith (Tracy) Robbins of Rio, Illinois, and Steve (Tracey) Robbins of Camden, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, LaVonne Shidler, brother, Larry Mulford, and her special cat, Patches.
