The City of Galesburg has announced two temporary road closures this week for tree removal projects, weather permitting.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Galesburg Forestry Department will close McClure Street between Main and McKnight streets for tree removal. The closure is expected to last approximately three and a half hours.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Bedwell Tree Service will close West Dayton Street between Academy and West streets for tree removal. The project is scheduled to take about three and a half hours.
City officials urge drivers to plan alternate routes to avoid delays.
