All former Carl Sandburg College basketball players are invited to return to campus for the annual alumni reunion Nov. 15.
This day-long celebration allows Sandburg basketball alumni to reconnect, reminisce and make new memories while cheering on this season’s Chargers squads. This year’s event will include special recognition for all basketball classes ending in 5 (1975-2015).
The Nov. 15 men’s and women’s basketball games against Madison also mark Paint the House Red Day. All fans are encouraged to wear red to that day’s games to show their Charger pride.
Schedule of events (all campus events free of charge for Chargers basketball alumni)
- 10 a.m. — Check-in and photo opportunities.
- 10:15 a.m. — Open gym for alumni basketball games and contests.
- 11:15 a.m. — Lunch and tour of the newly renovated Student Center, plus overview of the soon-to-be-constructed Charger Center.
- 1 p.m. — Women’s basketball game vs. Madison (alumni recognition ceremony at halftime).
- 3 p.m. — Men’s basketball game vs. Madison (alumni recognition ceremony at halftime).
- 6 p.m. — Alumni dinner/gathering at Pizza House (Non-college sponsored event. Dining options will be at guests’ expense.)
