A total of 46 candidates have filed paperwork with the Knox County Clerk’s office to run in the March 17, 2026, Primary Election, covering offices from precinct committeeperson to countywide positions.
The complete list of filers was released on Thursday, with challenges to any candidate’s filing accepted through Nov. 10. Winners in contested primaries will advance to the General Election on Nov. 3, 2026, when voters choose federal, state, and local officials.
