Seven Galesburg High School students have been selected to participate in the prestigious Illinois Music Education Association 2026 All-State Student Programs.

The students are:

These students earned their spots after advancing through ILMEA District Festivals and a highly competitive selection process. Statewide, more than 23,000 students submitted virtual auditions last fall, with over 7,000 chosen for district festivals and approximately 2,000 ultimately selected for the 2026 All-State honors.

The All-State Student Programs will take place Jan. 28–31, 2026, at the Peoria Civic Center. This year marks the inaugural inclusion of Junior High All-State Band and Junior High All-State Orchestra, joining the Junior High All-State Chorus that began in 2025.

The event runs concurrently with the Illinois Music Education Conference, drawing more than 12,000 students, educators, parents, and music-industry representatives to celebrate music education across the state.
