U.S. 150 near the Spoon River Bridge remains closed after an oversized load with a broken trailer blocked the roadway.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says the closure is expected to last at least 72 hours while a specialized crane is brought in to lift and repair the trailer.
Snow removal may be limited due to the obstruction, and drivers should expect slick conditions.
Detours:
- I-74 to IL-97/U.S. 150 exit east of Knoxville
- IL-180 → IL-167 → U.S. 34 → U.S. 150/Henderson Street
The sheriff’s office is working with IDOT and Illinois State Police to reopen the road as soon as possible.
