The Knox Community Health Center in Galesburg is expanding its dental team with the addition of two new dentists.

Jazmin Johnson, DMD, and David Jun, DDS, have joined the practice at 1361 W. Fremont St., bringing expertise in family dentistry to Knox County and surrounding areas.

Johnson earned her DMD from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in 2025.

“I am excited to serve Knox County and the surrounding areas where the need for rural dental care is so great,” Johnson said. “My goal is to care for the smiles of both children and adults and build their trust as their family dentist.”

Jun earned his DDS from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in 2025.

“I am thrilled to join the team at the Knox Community Health Center,” Jun said. “My goal is to ensure that every patient feels comfortable and receives the best possible care for a healthy smile.”

Public Health Administrator Michele Gabriel said the new dentists align with the center’s values.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Dr. Johnson and Dr. Jun to our practice,” Gabriel said. “Their passion for dentistry and commitment to patient well-being are a perfect fit for our values. This addition allows us to grow our services and continue to provide exceptional dental care to our growing patient base.”

The health department noted the need for dental access in Knox County and aims to reduce health disparities through this expansion.

The center, serving the area since 2012, offers comprehensive dental care for the entire family using the latest technology.

It accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid (with MCOs), and private insurance. A Sliding Fee Discount Program provides discounts on medical, dental, and behavioral health services based on income and household size for those with no insurance or under-insured.
