Susanna Marie Wheeler, 83, of Oquawka died at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at Seminary Manor.
She was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Stanley Edwin and Dorean Smith.
She is survived by three children, Ronda Helms of Galesburg, Tammy (Mark) Forshee of Galesburg, and Stan Edward (Carrie) Schisler of Palm Bay, Florida; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Susanna worked for Maytag for 33 years before retiring. She enjoyed flowers, especially yellow tulips, and her dogs.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Abingdon Cemetery.
