Marlene L. Moulden

Marlene L. Moulden, 93, of Monmouth died Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, in Gerlaw.

Marlene was born July 8, 1932, in Monmouth, the daughter of Elmer A. and Gertrude L. (Hull) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School.

She married Donald E. “Gene” Moulden on Aug. 3, 1952, in Monmouth. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1995.

She worked in the bookkeeping department at the National Bank of Monmouth, as hostess at Meling’s Restaurant, and later earned her real estate license, working at Lischwe Realty in Monmouth.

Survivors include her son, Doug (Susan) Moulden of Little York; daughter-in-law, Ondria Moulden of Gerlaw; grandsons, Anthony (Nichole) Moulden and Brandon (Jessica) Moulden; and great-grandchildren, Aleeah, Alexa, Branley, Bentley, Carter and Cayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Kirk E. Moulden.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Monmouth and the Limited Rods of Western Illinois. She enjoyed street rodding, car shows, roller skating and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will follow at Warren Memorial Park, Monmouth. No visitation hours are planned.
