Connie S. Wong, 74, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Connie was born August 19, 1951, in Kewanee, Illinois, to Willis and Virginia (Winter) Todd. She married Findley Wong on August 13, 1969, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2003.
Surviving Connie are two sons, Marc Wong of Batesville, Mississippi, and Tony (and Tasha) Wong of Galesburg; her mother, Virginia Young of Kewanee, Illinois; two grandchildren, Laney (and Tieler Jackson) Wong and Kye Wong; three great-grandchildren, Kharamii Jackson, Kiyahh Jackson, and Kylynd Jackson; a sister-in-law, Kathy Todd of Batesville, Mississippi; a nephew, Jeff (and Teri Jo) Todd; a niece, Jennifer (Scott) McKee; and her four-legged child, Willow. She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Todd; her stepfather, Gerald Young; her husband, Findley Wong; and a brother, John Todd.
Connie graduated from ROVA High School in 1969. She worked at Blick Art Materials in Galesburg for the past 13 years. Connie enjoyed shopping for crafts and antiques, and she loved watching football—especially the Miami Dolphins. Most of all, she cherished time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel.
