Corinne Ellen Durand, 79, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 10:38 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois.
Corinne was born February 4, 1947 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd Austin and Mary Mildred (Westfall) Kent. On May 18, 1968 she married Thomas W. Durand at the Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison. He survives.
Also surviving is one son: Michael (Kesha) Durand of Quincy, Illinois; two brothers: Jim Kent of Florida and Walt (Kathy) Kent of Burlington and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Corinne was a 1965 graduate of Aquinas High School in Ft. Madison. Following high school, she attended Business College. Earlier in life, she worked as a secretary for Bill Thompson Grain Elevators. Later, she co-owned No Mos’ No More Tavern in Roseville with her husband. Together Corinne and Tom also co-owned CW Harris Company and Thomas W. Durand Company; providing custodial work throughout the area. She was a hard working, go-getter woman with a bit of an ornery side. She helped with Cub Scouts and organizing the Little Swan Lake fishing tournaments. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.
Service will be held at a later date. Detail will be announced.
