Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey will be making stops in the Galesburg area as he travels and campaigns throughout the state.
Bailey will be at Tres Cafe, 1135 Lincoln St., from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday as part of his “Take Back Illinois” tour.
Bailey says in a release that “one of the things I enjoy most about campaigning is traveling this state and meeting the great men and women who make Illinois a special place to live and raise a family.”
Bailey was the Republican nominee for Illinois Governor in 2022, losing to incumbent Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker.
He’s in a field of Republicans this time around that includes Wirepoints founder Ted Dabrowski, developer Rick Heidner, and DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick.
Bailey will also be at Cheers on Main in Aledo on Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.
