Victim identified in fatal East Berrien Street fire
Knox County Coroner Jacque Dare identified the victim as Eulon Cooper, 70. Cause of death is pending an autopsy scheduled for noon Monday.
Big week of basketball at Thiel Gym: Girls sectional and boys regional preview
Galesburg hosts four days of tournament basketball this week, with the girls sectional Tuesday and Thursday and the boys regional Wednesday and Friday. The Silver Streaks girls (27-4, ranked #3 in 3A) face Metamora Tuesday at 6 p.m., while the boys (18-12) take on Peoria Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
