Impact of the Turf Field

It has been a game changer! I spoke at the last board meeting, thanking everyone that was involved in the process because it has had a tremendous impact. We have been able to get outside more than we have in the past. When we are stuck inside, we have a space that we don’t have to jockey for time, and we as a coaching staff don’t have to spend hours and days prepping and maintaining our field.
Opening Weekend
Opening night is Friday. The Streaks play Sherrard at 1 p.m. and East Peoria at 7 p.m. On Saturday, they play Rockridge at 10 a.m. and Macomb at 6 p.m. It should be great weather and a chance for fans to see the Streaks play four games at home at the start of the season.
Road Trip
The following week, the Streaks head to Knoxville, Tennessee, for the Irish Royal Classic at Knoxville Catholic High School. They will play Knoxville Catholic, Providence Academy, Greeneville High School, and Knoxville Central High School. The trip is designed to provide great out-of-state competition and a strong experience for the players, with an eye toward preparing for conference play and a postseason run.
